With Photoshop CS3, the new Bridge, and Adobe

your workflow, but also adding incredible amounts of flexibility and raw-based quality to your
photography. Award winning author, photographer and Photoshop
Hall-of-Famer Jack Davis – and
renowned co-instructor Geno Andrews – have an all new four-part
PPSOP class packed with indispensable insights, techniques and
time-savers to make your experience in Photoshop (especially
the new CS3) less painful and more productive, not to mention
dramatically more creative and profitable.
If you take photographs and use Photoshop (and we all do), you
owe it to yourself to learn from these masters the mind-bendingly
cool and completely indispensable new ways of getting your masterpieces
organized, optimized and enhanced, with more quality, flexibility
and speed, than ever before.
Course Outline:
Lesson 1 – The Bridge as a Photo Workhorse
Starting off the class Jack will demonstrate his new, simple,
logical, and sanity-saving CS3 Workflow — from camera capture,
to image downloading, (with automatic key-wording, contact info
and copyright tagging using the new Photo Downloader that comes
with Photoshop), to photo sorting and organization using new
Bridge features like Stacks, Loupe Views and the infinitely useful
Filter Panel. Also hidden features and Preferences that can make
the difference between "Why's it doing that?" to "Awww...
that's the way I like it!"
Lesson 2 – Adobe Camera Raw 4.2: Your new Best Friend
When we get into the new Adobe Camera Raw 4.2 (which
can now let you do all its non-destructive magic to JPEG's
and TIFF's, as well as Raw files!) Jack will show you
how it's brand new features like its Healing Brush, Highlight
Recovery, Shadow Fill light, Clarity, Vibrance, Parametric Curves and
world-class Detail Sharpening, will forever change how you globally
optimize ALL your photography. And ALL these global adjustments... you
will be able to change ANY of them, at ANY time - even in 10 years when
you've lost your original file!
Lesson 3 – Photoshop CS3: Smart, Smart, Smart!
When it comes to Photoshop, maximizing the Color, Tone,
Dynamic Range and Sharpness of your photographs – especially specific
areas of your photographs – is the most important step in the
digital darkroom process of creating powerful imagery.
But how do you do this in a way that gives you the best possible quality,
doesn't involve saving multiple versions AND let's you change ANYTHING
at any time (including all adjustments, filters, and even cropping and
scaling)? Welcome to Jack's demonstrations on the CS3 world of Smart
Filters, Smart Objects and Smart Adjustments, where flexibility and
freedom to experiment are the name of the game. Combine these Smart
capabilities with the photo enhancing potential of the new Black & White
Adjustments, Quick Select and Auto Align features, and you have a powerful
set of image enhancing tools that we couldn't have dreamed
of even a couple of years ago!
Lesson 4 – Pulling it All Together and letting Photoshop do the
Work!
Wrapping up this course will be the revealing of the
workflow "Piece de resistance," the Holy Grail of digital
imagery, the photographic Promised Land: How to automate
all these incredible new non-destructive life-savers
so as to actually be able to go home at night!
Here you'll see how to do everything from applying all
of Camera Raw 4.1's optimizing and enhancing capabilities
to multiple images right within the Bridge (yup, don't even
bother opening em up in ACR), to processing a thousand photos
to multiple sizes, files formats and color profiles at once (without
needing to write an Action or using Image Processor), to instantly applying
whole sets of image enhancing Smart Filters and Layer Style effects to
multiple images with a single menu click. Join Jack and Geno in this
new invaluable PPSOP class - it will change your life! PS: did we mention
it will also brighten your teeth and freshen your breath?
