In the saturated market of photography it becomes more challenging to differentiate your work from the work of other
photographers. Many are competing for the same commercial and editorial clients which can lead to price competition.
And quite frankly, stock photography is becoming more difficult to make money. You may ask yourself "how do I set
myself apart from the others"? "What markets have opportunity"? "How do I generate more sales dollars"? Well, in Photographing
Art for Profit, you'll have these questions and others about how to photograph for this market answered.
Photographing Art for Profit will teach you the skills necessary in how to properly capture art for reproduction. Here
you will learn the importance of an art portfolio to an artist and how to photograph two dimensional and three dimensional
art for galleries and museums. We'll talk about oil and watercolor paintings; sculpture; furniture; jewelry; pottery
and blown glass. We'll show you studio setups and even discuss how to prepare shoots and prep the images for final delivery,
and how the images will be used for exhibition catalogues once you're done with them. You'll learn the potential
art has to offer photographers to become technically skilled in controlling exposure and color and learn what to expect
from clients and what to expect of yourself, and suggestions on where to find opportunity to photograph and even how
