Students' feedback are very important to us at the Perfect Picture School of Photography, To view the detailed testimonials of one of our instructors, please click the name on the left. Here are some excerpts of students' comments about our instructors and their courses:

I've taken quite a few online classes on different things and this group has been so wonderful-and Bryan and Chris, all I can say is WOW! I've learned more in this class than I could have possibly imagined. Your teamwork is great-all questions answered and all photos critiqued both honestly and gently in a very timely manner.

Deb, student of Understanding Exposure

This is probably the most information packed class I have ever taken! Thank you so much for your rapid responses and easy to follow instructions and videos and valuable critiques. Your time and efforts have been most appreciated!

The class has been great and I learned so much. I wish it was longer than 4 weeks. I would enroll in another class instructed by you without hesitation. The lessons were well written. The flow of information was ideal. There was not much struggle in order to understand the material. Your response time to questions was amazing and very much appreciated. It was great to see very well developed answers to the questions that students post. I enjoyed the assignments that were given each week. This class got me thinking about photography in such a different way. I am glad that I was introduced to HDR through this class. I cannot think of anything that could improve this 4-week course.

I've been a pro for over 9 years and flash or rather the correct use of it has always eluded me. I'm now using my flash almost every time I shoot. And it's all due to your course. My critiques were never late from you. I learned a ton. This is a very difficult class to teach. I would hate to tackle it. I feel you did a tremendous job. I definitely got more than my moneys worth. Considering my starting fee for a wedding is $3,200 and most are either indoors or backlit by the sun, I have to know how to use my flash. That's a given. I now feel justified in my fees and that my brides are getting their money's worth. I thought you did a fantastic job teaching and would love to take a workshop with you. Thank you for all your time and trouble answering our questions. I never had anything unanswered. I finished your class feeling I've now mastered my flash. Please keep teaching. We need good instructors. Thank you so much for the class!

Thank you Darwin for the wonderful one-on-one workshop you gave me on Saturday. I learned more in the few hours under your tutelage, than I did reading all the photo books in my library. You explained things so that even I could understand (no big feat for sure!). I also like your informal style. My photography has really taken off since joining workshop.

This Class is the most challenging, interesting and fun class that I have ever taken, live or online! As I have struggled through some of these assignments, I have often thought that I would never be able to create what you have asked, and then I find myself creating. What a joy! And what an amazing learning experience, Cheryl!

Have to admit that I think this last assignment is the most challenging. Two days ago, I couldn't wrap my head around it ... today I have one image and at least ideas for the others or some degree of comfort in knowing that somehow I WILL be able to create. Big change for me from the beginning of this class.

Thank you so much for your feedback and your thoughtful lessons and assignments!”

Jayne, student of All About Color

Cheryl Machat Dorskind created an extremely comfortable learning environment for members of our class...Cheryl identified and praised each of our strengths, and so we felt empowered to help and teach each other. Her teaching style guided me to ask questions and then work to find answers. Cheryl's positive attitude and encouragement convinced me that even when things were difficult, I could find a way to be successful. Cheryl is extremely generous in sharing her personal experience, knowledge, and story. The technical knowledge I learned from her was invaluable, but the greatest gift I received from her class was an understanding and appreciation of my own creativity.

JoAnne Cotton, student of Photographing Children

WOW, and I thought I knew everything to know about B&W. Boy, did you open my eyes. I loved your course, but I have liked all your courses. You have been honest, encouraging, and motivational all at the same time. Now that you enjoyably convinced me there is more to B&W, I would like this to be a six week course. Again, PPSOP continues to fulfill my expectations. Thank you Danilo and YES you will be seeing me again.

I just completed Kathleen Clemons' Capturing the Beauty of Flowers class. I want to let you know how much I enjoyed the experience. Kathleen's lessons were very well organized, easy to read, informative and adorned with beautiful photos to illustrate her instructions. The assignments were challenging and fun, and stimulated my creativity and imagination. Kathleen's critiques were very positive, professional and helpful. I'll take the lessons I've learned here with me for a lifetime. Thank you for a job well done, Kathleen!

Bill Raco, student of Capturing the Beauty of Flowers

"What a great place! Kudos to everyone. I just can't get over all the great photographs and talent in just this class. I just wanted to say thanks to Bryan and Robert. PPSOP is so incredible. Just the interaction alone with the other students in the class makes this a wonderful school. I just wanted to say thanks to all for everyone’s critiques and if this is how it is after not even 2 weeks, I can’t imagine how great it’s going to be by the end of 8 weeks."

Eric, student of The Art of seeing

"I want to thank Dave and everyone else. I do feel that this was a genuine and sincere effort by Dave to share his craft. This class was tough. These style of photography is tough. It is hard to make feelings look so simple. I'm not sure it will get easier, but the class has given me some tools to really understand what I am trying to do with photography."

Jill - this has been a TERRIFIC class! I have learned so much from you! You've put your heart and soul into teaching this class and I appreciate all you've shared with us! This is my third pet photography class and while the others were good, this one has been GREAT!! It's just what I was looking for!! You're critiques have been honest and fair, and have given us all something to strive for on our next photo shoot. Not only did I learn a lot, but I have some extra special photos of our Golden Retrievers from this class!! I do hope that there's an Advanced Pet Photography class taught by Jill Flynn here at PPSOP in the works - I would definitely sign up!!

Kay B student of Pet Photography

Wedding Photography Class taught by Kevin Focht..I am just completing this class taught by Kevin. I cannot say enough good about Kevin and his class. I only wish that it was longer as there is much more to wedding photography than can be covered in four weeks. I think that he does a very good job at hitting on each area for the length of the class. It is good to have the assignments and have the critques of a pro...Kevin.

He is honest and sincere but not brutal or rude. He looks for the positive and gives good suggestions as to improving.

As far as the Q & A forum, it is awesome. Nice to hear comments from others as they have them and to be able to see everyone's questions as many times they have the same question you do, or maybe something you had not thought of yet, but probably will. And Kevin is SO NICE AND HELPFUL AND PATIENT. He stays with you through the process and tries to do anything he can to help you work out problems or issues...short of getting on a plane and going to your home personally !

I had lots of questions and not afraid to ask, and felt Kevin sincerely wanted me to ask and wants to see me succeed in photography. Never once did I feel belittled or like my question or issue was insiginificant. Kevin personalized things and shared his own experiences, which is very helpful. I would recommend this class to anyone interested in wedding photography. Thank you Kevin.

Outstanding class and instructor! This is my first class in ppsop and will not be my last.

"Before I started this class I was not used to taking pictures of people that I didn't know. I didn't realize that talking with them and establishing a relationship was important. Also that access was important. I am much more able to do this now. To look for the decisive moment in a situation and to photograph it in a manner that is interesting. I am seeing photography not just an art form but as a way to tell a story. In just a few short weeks I have learned so much."

Jack is terrific not only as an instructor but also as a person! He is attentive to the class & answers questions promptly. He critiques assignments promptly and he first points out the positives of the photo. He then goes on the say how improvements on the composition could be made. I am 100% satisfied with Jacks class content and his teaching style and plan to be back for more of it in the spring for his new class on Documentary photography! So happy I had the opportunity to meet this fine person.
